The fire you grew up with, as an open or closed fireplace, insert cassette or stove. If you already have an open fireplace, we can close it with a cassette or with glass doors and a draught regulator. Take a look at our wood-burning projects.
Wood fireplaces: types and projects
Adjustable flame, no ash or smell, running on natural gas or LPG. Sealed models have a glass front and vent vertically or horizontally; open (atmospheric) models leave the flame open to the room. Take a look at our gas projects.
Gas fireplaces: types and installation
Biomass heating you run almost like an air conditioner, with sensors, a remote and a control panel. With a single fan it heats one or two rooms; with ducts, several.
Pellet stoves: how they work
They need no flue, so they fit on almost any wall, indoors or outdoors. They give off little heat and are mostly decorative; ignition can be manual, automatic or remote.
Bioethanol fireplaces: models and uses
They run on electricity and burn nothing. There are models with water vapour that looks like smoke, with a screen and the sound of burning wood, cassettes to update an existing fireplace and baskets for a traditional one.
Electric fireplaces: types and projects
For the terrace or the garden: outdoor gas fireplaces, built-in or prefabricated barbecues, modules with worktops and patio heaters, for homes as well as hospitality.

About us
At Clima Difusión we sell, custom-make and install fireplaces and stoves. Every project starts with your space and with how you want to use the fire: as your main heating, as a back-up or as the centrepiece of the living room.
We work with every fuel and tell you plainly which one suits your home. If a catalogue model does not fit the opening or the design, we make it: fireboxes, cassettes, enclosures or the cabinet that houses the fireplace.
More than thirty years in the trade have taught us how to solve what worries people most on a job: where the smoke goes out, how the fireplace sits in the wall or the cabinet, and which cladding suits it best, whether stone, iron, wood or plasterboard.
We are with you from choosing the model to installation and finishing, and we look after the maintenance afterwards. Come and see it at our Barcelona showroom or tell us about your project with no obligation.
How we work
Emilio Franco founded Clima Difusión and still runs it. Working with him are Alejandro Franco, in charge of installations and refurbishments; Jèssica Corrons, customers and administration; and Marga, at the showroom.
We have built fireplaces in flats, houses, shops and hospitality venues. That experience shows in what you do not see: the flue study, the finishing and the safety of the installation.

Our installer signs off every installation and takes responsibility for it. For natural gas we hold the official approval and carry out leak-tightness tests before handover.

In Ciutat Vella you can see fireplaces and stoves up close, compare finishes and talk through your project. We are open Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons, and on Saturdays by appointment.

We design the fireplace with your space in front of us and make whatever it needs: the firebox, the cassette, the enclosure or the cabinet. Then we install it and complete the finishing; all you have to do is light it.

Every installation starts with a study of the flue (length, route and diameters) so the fireplace works properly and complies with regulations. We install wood, gas, pellet and bioethanol fireplaces and hand over a finished job.
How we install a gas fireplace
We close open fireplaces with a cassette and new plasterboard, fit glass doors with a draught regulator or convert an unused wood-burning fireplace to gas.
Ideas to update your fireplace
In a flat, a sealed gas fireplace can vent its gases by forced draught through the floor slab between storeys, with no visible pipe, once the route has been studied. We tell you what is feasible in your building.

FAQ
Short answers to what we are asked most before a project starts.
Bioethanol and electric fireplaces: they do not vent gases outside, so they can go on almost any wall. Wood, gas and pellet fireplaces do need a flue, although a sealed gas fireplace can vent horizontally or through the floor slab, with no visible pipe.
For heating, wood and pellet: a pellet stove with one fan heats one or two rooms and, with ducts, several; a wood-burning boiler fireplace with a water tank can feed radiators and hot water. Gas offers an adjustable flame. Bioethanol gives off little heat and is mainly decorative.
A fireplace is built into the wall, a structure or a cabinet, with an open or closed firebox. A stove is a stand-alone appliance, freestanding or wall-hung, placed in the room; if it burns wood, pellet or gas, it connects to its flue. Both exist for almost every fuel.
It mainly depends on the fuel, the format (front-facing, corner, three-sided…), whether a new flue is needed, the cladding and the building work involved. That is why we do not give fixed prices without knowing the space: with photos and measurements we prepare a no-obligation quote.
We start with the design, based on your space and how you use the fire. Then we prepare the job: manufacture, logistics, permits and timing. Next we install it and complete the finishing. In the end, all you have to do is add the logs and light the fire.
There are several options: close it with a wood-burning cassette and new plasterboard, fit glass doors with a draught regulator, convert it to gas or place an electric cassette inside. It depends on the state of the hearth and the flue; with a few photos we can tell you what makes sense.
